LECTROZONE formed in Los Angeles when Lead Vocalist/ Guitarist J.J. Bolt started jamming with Drummer Phil George in 2001. J.J. was already a seasoned musician, playing with 80’s rock bands THE WILD and later recording a CD with EPIC recording artists JOHNNY CRASH. His bombastic rhythms coupled with his melodic soloing gelled perfectly with the Lectrozone rhythm section. J.J.’s vocal style, reminiscent of early Alice Cooper, both irreverent and raw was the cherry on the cake.

Along with Drummer Phil George, J.J. had a band mate that had not only cut his teeth in bands such as SYMBOL SIX, who sold over 50,000 units in their time, but someone who had extensive touring experience with the likes of TSOL, BLACK FLAG and SOCIAL DISTORTION. He even played with the likes of Cliff Morrison (son of the late Jim Morrison) and Waylon Krieger (son of Robbie Krieger) in the LIZARD SON BAND in the late 90’s. Phil toured throughout the U.S. and Europe making a name for himself as a hard hitting, yet exciting skinsman with a style cut from the same cloth as the great drummers of yesteryear.

Completing this formidable power trio is Bassist Willis who has spent half his life pumping away in his original powerhouse, thunderous style, with such greats as LENNY KRAVITZ, JELLYFISH, DIZZY REED (Guns ‘n’ Roses), and NEAL SCHON (Journey).

Together Lectrozone are a formidable unit who meld modern rock sounds in the vein of GODSMACK and the DEFTONES with classic rock influences such as LED ZEPPELIN, HENDRIX and AC/DC. Their sound is a pure and true hybrid of both old and new grit. Lectrozone bring their collective years of experience, not only to the recording studio, but to their live show as well. For three guys on stage playing HIGH ENERGY ROCK you would swear they were five strong.
